In addition to the many cultural, recreational and shopping attractions on the Island of Oahu, it is both easy and relatively inexpensive to fly by commercial jet to nearby islands such as the Big Island of Hawaii (with Volcanoes National Park), Maui (with its famous beaches and Haleakala Crater National Park), and Kauai (which hosts the "wettest place on Earth" as well as lush foliage and beautiful beaches). You'll want to bring friends and family with you, stay after NOMS, and have the experience of a lifetime!Ê

NOMS 2000 will be held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village: Waikiki's only true resort and located in its widest stretch of beach. The Village is the perfect paradise with lush tropical plants, wildlife and priceless art treasures. The Hilton Hawaiian Village, located at the western end of Waikiki, provides guests a wide selection of rooms, restaurants, and shopping as well as world-class conference facilities.Ê It has its own beach and lagoon.Ê NOMS 2000 will be held in its Tapa Tower, with some social events outdoors at the Lagoon Green. The Hilton Hawaiian Village offers a wide spectrum of activities from swimming to shopping to simply relaxing!

The Hilton Hawaiian Village is situated on the largest stretch of white
sand beach in Waikiki. It's a great place for swimming, sailing and other
ocean activities.
Gazebo near the Village Green
The gazebo garden area of the Hilton Hawaiian Village is a popular spot
for weddings and photo taking. This peaceful setting is a quiet retreat
with a waterfall that cascades into a pond filled with fish, ducks, and
graceful swans.
Penguin Pool
The Penguin Pool is a popular spot to relax and watch our playful Penguins.
Super Pool
The 10,000 square foot two-tiered Super Pool has views of Waikiki Beach
and an adjoining children's pool. Every Friday night, the Super Pool becomes
the stage for Hawaiian entertainment and a fabulous fireworks show!
Gardens between the Main Lobby and Super Pool
This beautiful walkway is situated between the Main Lobby and the Super
Pool. It is surrounded by a garden of flora and fauna. The ponds are home
to Carp, turtles, ducks, swans and other exotic birds.
Rainbow Bazaar
With over 90 specialty shops, services, ultra chic stores and international
restaurants in the Rainbow Bazaar. There's so much to see and do; you
may never want to leave this shoppers paradise.

Honolulu International (8 miles/20 minutes)
H-1 Freeway is adjacent to the International airport, take H-1 East look
for Waikiki directional signs, stay in right lane and exit Nimitz Hwy,
Nimitz will turn into Ala Moanathen take right onto Kalia road to the
Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Special discounted airfares for NOMS 2000 have been negotiated with Continental and United Airlines is offering a 10% discount off the lowest available super-saver fares, and a 13% discount off coach fares. United Airlines is offering a 5% discount off the lowest available super-saver fares and a 10% discount off coach fares. If booked 60 days in advance, both airline carriers are offering an advanced booking incentive that increases the discount by an additional 5%. Where super-saver fares or Saturday night stays are not applicable, Continental and United are also offering zone fares. Discounted airfares are also available on other airline carriers. Please call IEEE Travel Services for availability. Some restrictions apply and airfares are guaranteed to be the lowest available at the time of ticketing.
